Amarjit
Amarjit Khalsa began practicing Kundalini Yoga in 1976 at age 22. She spent many years living in a 3HO Ashram (Happy, Healthy, Holy Organization Spiritual Community) dedicated to the practice of morning Sadhana- rising before dawn to practice yoga and meditation. During much of that time, she was the chef of a vegetarian restaurant called the Golden Temple Conscious Cookery Restaurant in Harvard Square.
Amarjit has had the priviliege of studying with many extraordinary teachers including Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga. She has taught Kundalini Yoga since 1980, in a variety of health clubs, yoga centers and institutions such as Babson College and Harvard University.
She earned her black belt in Choi Kwang Do Martial Arts in 1996 and received her certification from the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher’s Association in 2000. Amarjit is a full-time Kundalini Yoga teacher who brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and versatility to each class she teaches. She is dedicated to sharing the powerful teachings of Kundalini Yoga to all those who are ready to receive them.
Amarjit has been married, since 1984, to her husband Gurujot Singh Khalsa; a Chiropractic Physician and exceptional yogi.
